Sustainable travel starts with simple choices, and one of the most impactful is reducing plastic waste. We highly recommend that student groups bring water purification tablets, drops, or a filtration system while trekking. In support of Nepal’s eco-friendly initiatives, some trekking areas have restrictions on the sale and purchase of bottled water, making purification methods essential for a safe and responsible trekking experience.
Nepal’s natural water sources—such as springs, aquifers, and taps—are fresh and clean, offering an excellent opportunity to refill your water bottle along the way. By using purification methods, you can safely enjoy these natural resources without relying on single-use plastic bottles. Our international student groups consistently prefer this sustainable approach. To make the most of it, we recommend bringing a 1-2 liter reusable water bottle for easy refills throughout the trek.
For those unable to bring their own purification tablets or drops, we provide internationally recognized branded purification solutions during the trek, ensuring safe and reliable drinking water for all participants.
