Why Travel With Us?

Contributing to a Noble Cause

All of our service-learning projects support the mission of the Moonlight School.  This is significant, as these contributions influence the lives of disadvantaged students through our service-oriented, philanthropic, travel company.  Our services and the unique cultural environment of Nepal have proven a rich experience for past international students. Please be confident that we have developed a program that will provide premium quality travel and learning experiences with guaranteed safety and comfort.

We hope to involve you in our dedicated practice of providing education to the most deprived and disadvantaged children in our community. This is accomplished through the financial support our organization receives through the attached trekking company. We hope to provide a sustainable funding future for the Moonlight School and transition away from a dependency on external donations.  To achieve this goal, the success of our trekking company is vital.

Kindly note that in doing this work, we don’t desire personal gains. Rather, we work for the good of the community and for the future of our children who will bless us in their own time. It is these underprivileged students who will remember you for your contribution to their education through your involvement with our trekking company. They, and we, are deeply grateful for your patronship.

If you are scheduling your school overseas trip including Nepal, please take your time to know about our service-oriented, social enterprise, travel company.

Socially-Oriented Business

Due to Nepal’s poor economic conditions, many children are denied their basic human right to access education.  Moonlight Nepal Trekking and Adventure Tours is a socially-oriented business and, since 2009, we have been providing free education to needy children living on the outskirts of Kathmandu.  60% of all our tour profits are donated directly to supporting the philanthropic work of the Moonlight School. By booking a trip with us you will not only have an amazing adventure in Nepal, but you will also be contributing directly to the education of underprivileged Nepalese children, who without the Moonlight school would be without an education.

Superb Safety Record

Ensuring our customers’ safety is imperative and, as such, all our guides and group leaders have completed the Wilderness First Aid Medical Course and have the extensive trekking experience required to respond to any potential issues which may arise.  The safety and comfort of our guests is our top priority, and you can be assured that our professional staff will take all medical and safety precautions necessary. Although this is rarely required, at any time during the trek our staff are able to arrange emergency helicopter transport off the mountain. To ensure your safety, we do request that our guests follow the expert advice of our staff at all times.

We have a 100% health and safety record and will ensure that your students’ visit to Nepal is one of the greatest memories of their lives.

24-Hour Support for Groups & Their Families

We have a 24-hour support number that parents may ring at any time during their child’s trip if there is an emergency.  Parents also receive contact details of where their child is each night

Best Price and Value

Quality services at the best prices make your adventures great value for money. Having all the essential items; meals, trekking, sightseeing and national park fees included in the trip cost allows you to better budget for your big adventure and eliminates the risk of having to carry large sums of money throughout your journey.
We believe in providing you the best value for your money. You will find our prices compare favourably to other trekking operators, including the many smaller operators you will find once you arrive in Nepal.  Price, however, is nothing without service, and that’s something we guarantee from the moment you arrive.

Porter Welfare

We could not get off the beaten track without them. On a trek, the entire group; travellers, guides and porters alike, are a team who share the same need for safety in the mountain environment. Our Porter Welfare Code of Conduct ensures safe working conditions for the mountain porters we employ in Nepal.
