The trek to Dhampus Australian Camp provides young international students with an easy and comfortable journey. Situated at an altitude of 1750 meters, Dhampus Trekking is located north of Pokhara Valley, offering breathtaking views of the golden rice terraces cultivated by local farmers. Trekking to this settlement offers stunning mountain views, natural scenery, and quiet interiors. Different species of birds are welcomed by the Gurung committee in the village of Dhampus. Typically, visitors use this location as a rest stop. Its primary source of income is indirect to residents. The Annapurna region makes this trekking path much better. One of the best vantage points for viewing Nepal is on Dhampus Hill. One may also catch a breathtaking view of Pokhara from Dhampus, and when the sun sets, the scenery just gets more beautiful.

Apart from serving as a captivating Mountain Viewpoint, Dhampus is a quaint Gurung settlement. Hiking to Dhampus offers a unique opportunity to observe the daily activities of the local Gurung community, from tending to their buffalo to working diligently on their farms. The journey commences with a scenic 30-minute drive from the picturesque lakeside of Pokhara valley to Phedi village, where the delightful trek to Dhampus village, one of Nepal’s true delights, begins. As we make our way through the lush surroundings, we are greeted with a breathtaking vista of the magnificent Mt. Machhapuchhre, fondly known as Fishtail Mountain (6991m) due to its distinctive fish-like tail-shaped peak. The sight of this iconic mountain is sure to leave us in awe as we approach the charming village of Dhampus.

The panoramic landscapes and varied cultures of different ethnic groups along the route make it a very popular choice for international school trips. Moonlight Nepal Company has comprehensive experience in guiding students, with a 100% safety record. This is a wonderful trek for international school students of all ages.

Additionally, a one-day service project at Moonlight School provides a valuable opportunity for participants to make a meaningful contribution to the community.
