Moonlight Nepal Trekking and Adventure ensures a comfortable and culturally immersive experience for young international students, prioritizing their safety and well-being throughout the trip. Below is an overview of the accommodations and meals we provide:
Accommodations
Trekking Lodges and Teahouses : During the trek, students stay in local teahouses and trekking lodges, offering basic but comfortable accommodations. Rooms are clean, simply furnished, and include bedding. Shared bathrooms are typical, with hot water available at select stops (though availability may vary).
Hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara
Before and after the trek, students stay in safe, carefully selected guesthouses or 3-star hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara. These accommodations offer a higher standard of comfort and privacy, with clean rooms, modern amenities, and a welcoming environment.
Note: We carefully select hotels that are equipped with functional fire exits, smoke alarms, essential amenities, and other safety measures. Additionally, these hotels provide 24-hour security services to ensure the safety and well-being of our student groups at all times, day and night.
Meals : Meals during the trek are provided in the lodges and teahouses along the route, including:
Traditional Nepalese Dishes: Dal Bhat (lentil soup with rice), momo (dumplings), and vegetable curries.
Western Options: Meals such as pasta, sandwiches, pancakes, and soup are available for international students.
Breakfast and Dinner: A hearty breakfast with tea or coffee, and dinner with a variety of vegetarian and meat-based options.
Meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara
In the cities, students enjoy balanced, nutritious meals at restaurants catering to international groups. Both Nepali dishes and international cuisines are offered, giving students the chance to experience local flavors while providing familiar options for those with dietary preferences or restrictions.
Special Dietary Needs
We accommodate specific dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and others. Prior notice is appreciated to ensure we can tailor meals to students’ allergies or special requirements.
Additional Considerations
Safety and Hygiene: All meals are carefully prepared using locally sourced ingredients, and hygiene standards are strictly maintained to ensure student safety.
Cultural Experience: Students are encouraged to try local dishes, promoting cultural immersion while respecting individual dietary preferences.
By combining local, healthy meals with comfortable accommodations, we ensure that students enjoy a well-rounded, safe, and enriching experience during their time in Nepal.
