Mr. Santosh Koirala

Mr. Santosh has been involved with the tourism industry since 2004 and has been responsible for organizing International school trips in Nepal. He has a wealth of experience in organizing these school trips, including treks and cultural education. The most rewarding aspects of his profession are seeing the happy faces of international students returning to Nepal, and the friendships these experiences grow. He has very good skills in speaking and writing English.

Mr. Koirala supports the education of disadvantaged children in Kathmandu through the Moonlight Foundation Nepal. He established Moonlight Nepal Trekking and Adventure Company in 2009 with the hope of offering financial support to the non-profit school. His trekking company aims to provide a sustainable funding resource for the Moonlight School. 60% of all profit from Moonlight Trekking Nepal is allocated directly to support the education of disadvantaged children through his non-profit organization, Moonlight Foundation Nepal.

Mr. Koirala seeks to build partnerships with international schools around the world, and hopes to interest them in a student visits to Nepal through the Moonlight Nepal Trekking Company. The profits made enable an expansion of our charitable work and therefore increase the number of disadvantaged children able to study at the Moonlight School.

In his own words, “If I were born into a middle class family, I may not have started this school. It is my dream to provide poor children an education to help them overcome poverty in the same way that I did.”
